Questions
How do I work out my laundry price per kg?
Add the month’s fixed costs (rent, wages, the machine over its life), divide by the kilos you wash in a month, then add what each kilo uses in power, water and detergent; your price is that cost plus your margin.
How much do laundries in Kenya charge per kg?
The Fuahub price guide shows what laundries on Fuahub charge each month, from their own price lists.
Should I charge per kg or per item?
Most laundries do both: everyday clothes by the kilo, and suits, duvets and gowns by the piece, because they take more time and care.
